HTML Editors
An overview of HTML Editors available

If you've gone through the basic html tutorial then you've done very well. The problem with html is that it can be quite tedious writing it from scratch.

This is why there are a huge variety of programs which allow you to write html without "getting your hands dirty" on the raw code.

That doesn't mean that you shouldn't know any!

HTML or WYSIWYG?

It is entirely up to you, and your budget which editor you use. Or indeed editors. Some people like to have a couple of different programs installed to use - relying on the strengths of particular programs.

What's the difference between a html and a wysiwyg editor?
In a WYSIWYG editor you don't see the html. You work by adding items to the page - and not seeing or writing the raw code.
On an html editor you deal directly with the html. There are often shortcuts keys for all the usual tags allowing you to build in html without the tedious typing of < and >.
