How to get Traffic to your site (part 3)
Analysis of Search Engines continued ...
Now we take our top link
onto Goto.com and see what
comes up.
We look at Goto.com as its a pay per click search engine - which means people
pay to be included on it. This means that people want to make money from the sites
they have advertised on Goto.com.
We can find some useful information
from these top few sites.
The cost to advertiser is shown in brackets, and
we note that the number one spot (Cost to advertiser: $0.03).
We look
at the sites one by one (as many as you can stand, but not more than 10-20)

So
from looking at these sites which come up on goto.com we can see what keywords
they have, what content they provide, and what products they sell. If we see an
affiliate program which suits us, then thats great. Make a note of the url to
sign up with.
As you can see, we're learning about what types of content
we could use on our site, and what products can be tied in.
The keywords
used on these sites can be fed back into 7search.com and more results produced.
How far you want to go with this process is up to you, but hopefully you'll find
it interesting enough to spend some time on.
Don't spend forever though!
Once
you have good keywords and good ideas for content, you'll be able to fit it all
together and make a cracking website which will get good traffic from the search
engines - because you'll have sorted out the best keywords people search for and
made highly relevant and specific content pages.
