Which Domain Names
There are lots of places where to buy
domain names but how to chose the right domain
name for you?
Rather than spend hours thinking of names and trying them,
and finding they're all gone there are sites dedicated to helping you find the
right domain name for you.
These are domain name generators: combining extensive
thesaurus and word list with a whois tool to check the availability of the domain
names that it comes up with.
123FINDER - http://site.123finder.com/
The power search will allow you to enter up to three keywords, add to the
list of prefixes, specify whether you want dashes (-) to be used as well as allowing
you to only display available domain names
DOMAIN FELLOW - http://www.domainfellow.com/
To use Domain Fellow, simply type in a keyword, select the extension of your choosing
from the drop-down list (com, net, or org) and the category or theme for the site.
A custom domain name query tool which permits you to enter up to 10 keywords as
well as a list of domain name resources is also available.
E-GINEER
DOMAINATOR - http://www.e-gineer.com/domainator/
It will find domain names containing a list of keywords you enter, it will
check whether they have already been registered (including hyphenated versions).
You also have the option to check the US Patent and Trademark Office database
for trademarks in which your keywords are used. Domainator will search Dictionary.com
for a definition which it will display, then it translates the keywords entered
into a dozen or so foreign languages, combines the words in various ways and lists
rhymes to the words.
NAMEBOY - http://www.nameboy.com
Type in a primary and secondary keyword, select a site theme or category
and whether or not you want your domain name to rhyme. NameBoy will then produce
a list of domain names in three columns: available, taken and for sale names.
NAME:CREATOR - http://creator.homepagenames.com/
You can type in multiple keywords, select a category or theme for your site,
include or exclude hyphens, flip words, hide taken domain names and narrow down
the search to any of the three domain name extensions (com, net, and org).
RAINING NAMES - http://freeserve-v1.domainnames.com/advanced.asp
Raining Names is the only domain name generator with support for the .co.uk and
.org.uk extensions. Like other domain name generators above, you can enter up
to two keywords to work with. You select a theme or topic and whether or not you
want to include hyphens in the search.
WHOIX - http://www.whoix.com/wizard.html
Although more limited than some of the other domain name generators, Whoix came
up with some great domain names among them promotionhelpdesk.com and promotioninformer.com
that the other domain name creators didn't come up with.
